  THE ABC'S OF FAMILY SUPPORT

  
  

  A ADOPT-A-FAMILY

  November 1, 2003 - January 31, 2004

  Specific families from the Sacramento area are adopted and ministered to during the holiday season. These families have fallen on hard times and are on the verge of becoming homeless or have already found themselves to be homeless. We will provide as much as possible to give them at least one enjoyable day of celebration. We will provide a complete meal with all the fixings, gifts, and Christmas Tree if requested.

  
  

  B BLESS-A-FAMILY

  February 1, 2004 - April 30, 2004
  

  The OFCF will sponsor a family conference with United Families International to educate families on their rights and what is available to them to be successful. At the conference several families will be recognized and encouraged with gifts for surviving the tough times. These families will be blessed with the many things unavailable to them before. Hopefully, all of the incentives will inspire these families to continue to become better and eventually bless our community.

  
  

  C CORE-FOR-A-FAMILY

  May 1, 2003 - July 31, 2003

  The Foundation will seek out disadvantaged families who cannot provide summer activities for their children. We will provide scholarships for as many children as possible. OFCF will also support summer camps, such as football and cheerleading camps, family camps for the entire family and some basketball camps. Camps must provide some type of mentoring program within their activities to develop the character of the children. Sports activities only will not be enough to gain our support.

  
  

  D DEVELOP-A-FAMILY

  August 1, 2003 - October 31, 2003

  The foundation will provide clothing and school supplies for all disadvantage families that have children returning to school who are in need of support to give their children and equal opportunity to be successful. Education is vital to the success of any family. The Foundation will provide as many tools as possible to make sure families are successful.

  WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP!

  Your financial contribution will go towards the specific program at the given time of the year. The Foundation will purchase all the needed materials, which will then be given to the identified families. To successfully run all four programs, annually we will need donations in excess of $50,000.00. You can also donate specific gifts or gift certificates. Just call our office at (916) 688-9510, to determine what specifically is needed for this season. Donations are Tax Deductible.

  How did we get here?

  Our Family Community Foundation is a non-profit 501-c (3) organization, that was established in 1998. OFCF was formed to serve the disadvantaged in our community. The goal of OFCF to take disadvantage and under privilege of our community and provide them with educational, tutorial, and social opportunities that would otherwise not be afforded them so they can experience many of the benefits now enjoyed by others and to bring the socially deprived to a productive, functional, meaningful level of society.
